What to do

Fire or smoke
  1. Get out and call 911. Don't stop for belongings.
  2. Close doors behind you and use the stairs, never the elevator.
  3. Pull the nearest fire alarm on your way out.
You smell gas
  1. Leave right away. Don't flip switches, light anything or start a car.
  2. Once you're outside and away, call 911 or Enbridge Gas at 1-800-767-1689.
Water leak or flooding
  1. Turn the shutoff valve behind the toilet or under the sink to the right (clockwise) until it stops.
  2. If water is near outlets or lights, stay away from it and turn off that breaker.
  3. Call maintenance (after hours (385) 437-1791), then move valuables up off the floor.
The power is out
  1. Check your breaker panel. Flip any tripped switch fully off, then back on.
  2. Neighbors out too? Report it to Murray City Power at (801) 264-9669.
  3. Keep the fridge and freezer closed. Food stays cold about 4 hours.
No heat in freezing weather
  1. Check the thermostat is on Heat and set above the room temperature.
  2. Still cold? Call maintenance (after hours (385) 437-1791). Meanwhile, let faucets drip and open the cabinets under the sinks.

Anything else, like a dripping faucet or a small repair, can wait for a regular request. Pests? Call or email the office instead. Request a repair
